Anton Gilson, B.S. 1960, of Rochester, NY, is director of engineering and minority partner at Quality Measurement Systems.

Richard A. Lundquist, B.A. 1960, has been teaching English for 30 years at Cabrillo Community College in Santa Cruz, CA.

Alexander W. Spears, Ph.D. 1960, vice chairman and chief operating officer of the Lorillard Tobacco Company, was appointed to the board of trustees of Guilford College in Greensboro, NC.

Donald M. Clark, Ed.D. 1961, president and chief executive officer of the National Association for Industry-Education Cooperation in Buffalo, led a national delegation of business and education leaders to China in August 1995.

Martin Hauser, Ph.D. 1961 & M.A. 1958, has been named vice president for corporate environmental, health and safety affairs for the Locite Corporation in Rocky Hill, CT.

William Niese, J.D. 1961, senior vice president of law and human resources at the Los Angeles Times, was named 1994 Outstanding Corporate Counsel by the corporate law departments section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Michael M. Valentic, B.S. 1961, of Williamsville, NY, is a Civil War antique appraiser and dealer, a trustee of the Williamsville Historical Society, president of the Amherst South Rotary Club and a board member of the Williamsville Parks Committee.

William G. Darnell, B.A. 1962, is chief technical advisor for education systems in Balochistan Province, Pakistan. He is entering his fifth year of directing primary education reform in the country's most underdeveloped province.

Joseph A. Wolfe, B.S. 1962, professor of management at the University of Tulsa's College of Business Administration, management and marketing department, has been honored for his career achievements by an international management journal.

Larry R. Drake, B.A. 1963 & B.A. 1963, vice president of human resources and information services at Graphic Controls Corporation in Buffalo, received the 1994 Outstanding Human Resource Professional Award from the Niagara Frontier Chapter, Society for Human Resource Management.

Leonard Klein, B.A. 1963, of Poughkeepsie, NY, is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Daniel N. Csizmar, B.A. 1964, of Tonawanda, NY, joined Lawley Services Inc., a Buffalo insurance provider, in July 1994.

Gerald A. Leone, Ed.M. 1964 & B.A. 1961, chair of the SUNY/Morrisville journalism department, received the distinguished faculty award at commencement exercises in May.

Kathleen F. Cortes, B.A. 1965, of Morganville, NJ, directs planning and research for the Association of Junior Leagues International in New York.

George T. Guido, B.A. 1966, of North Tonawanda, NY, is market casualty chain manager for Allstate Insurance in Buffalo.

Jeffrey Kaiser, B.S. 1966, professor of educational administration at Governors State University in University Park, IL, is the author of 21st Century Principal.

Barbara Coniglio Kujawa, B.A. 1966, of Aurora, NY, is a high school English teacher at Immaculata Academy.

Maryanne L. Mather, B.S. 1966, clinical coordinator of the Clinical Dental Studies Center at UB, is a 28-year employee of the university.

Peter Conrad, B.A. 1967, chair and professor of sociology at Brandeis University, has been elected president of the Society for the Study of Social Problems.

Peter Doukas, B.A. 1967, professor of marketing and retail management and chair of the marketing curriculum at SUNY/Westchester Community College, received the college's 1994 Award for Faculty Excellence in Teaching.

Donald O. Hewitt, M.B.A. 1967, of San Antonio, TX, is the regional vice president of support systems for PACIFICARE, a health maintenance organization.

Robert B. Inskeep, B.A. 1967, was appointed director of human resources for the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation in Flint, MI.

Richard G. Judelsohn, M.D. 1967, has been an officer in the public health service at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. Recently elected president of the Erie County Board of Health, he is the medical director of the Erie County Health Department.

Philip E. Krause, B.A. 1967, has been promoted to senior vice president and manager of corporate leadership development at Nations Bank in Dallas, TX.

Joann Segert, B.A. 1967, of Naperville, IL, is the library learning center director for District 200 in Wheaton.

Howard Verb, M.B.A. 1967, retired from IBM after 27 years in materials management and is now a principal in a certified financial planning firm.

Nancy Cimbal, B.S. 1968, a senior physical therapist, was named first runner-up for Erie County Medical Center's 1994 Employee of the Year.

Patrick Fontane, M.A. 1968, promoted from associate professor to professor of sociology at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, St. Louis, MO, opened the Office for Research on Aging last year.

Cory E. Guenter, B.A. 1968, of Wellsville, NY, has been vice president of human resources at ABB Air Preheater Inc. for 10 years. He established and directed OSHA STARR UPP and is recognized as the longest standing STARR member in the country.

John Lordi, Ph.D. 1968, was appointed the new executive director of the Calspan/UB Research Center. Over the past 30 years, he has managed and performed research in high-speed flight, rocket and gas-turbine propulsion, ballistic missile defense and environmental sciences.

Richard Schwertfager, Ed.M. 1968, retired from the Wilson, NY, School System in 1992, after teaching there for 30 years. The former physical education director and football and baseball coach now resides with his wife, Joanne, in Sarasota, FL.

Jerry Bonczkiewicz, B.S. 1969, is a medically retired stroke survivor who facilitates a support group for other stroke survivors at a senior center in Fall City, WA.

Stephen R. Ginsburg, Ed.M. 1969 & B.A. 1967, assistant principal at Sweet Home High School in Amherst, NY, is a United States Tennis Association captain in team tennis and a former high school basketball, baseball and tennis coach.

William Ritz, Ed.D. 1969, director of the science education program at California State University in Long Beach, received the 1994 TRW/College of Natural Sciences Outstanding Teacher/Scholar Award.
